 sfunk 06-01-2011 10:48 PM

That would probably be a good idea :P

ok. Good excuse...

 sfunk 06-02-2011 10:22 PM

Not really an excuse when it was so well thought out before hand, I knew someone was going to try to say it was spam or not allowed, but if you think about it, each tutorial is it's own world, no extension of each other(though I may go back and use arty's world loader tool to make a consecutive tutorial) so since it is so, they would be classified by themselves as of now allowing assurance for a separate thread since every other world warrants it's own personal thread (besides games that are just updates of themselves, which belong on the same thread)

^bump

andd i'm going to make actual videos on how to do these instead of just having these boring long butt tutorial into quick easy to follow videos on youtube, I did the setting a 3d text into a number variable already, uploading as I type this

Odd. This thread didn't show up on my New Post list. Oh well.

Pop Quiz: What's light blue and sticky?

 sfunk 06-26-2011 12:31 AM

haha very nice post, and hopefully this stays helpful to everyone (and maybe some of the other experienced members like jedi and arty and so on could create some tutorials, and compile them all here.)

 arty-fishL 06-26-2011 05:47 PM

Very useful thread. I could maybe create some tutorials, maybe.

 sfunk 06-26-2011 06:04 PM

Well if you make any tutorials, just let me know, so I can put the link of the video onto this thread.

Nice. Making this a sticky will be helpful for new Alice users.

 jediaction 06-27-2011 02:27 PM

Yah, looks like I don't need to make any more tutorials. The variable one and whatever else I did could be put on your thread to.

 sfunk 04-14-2013 01:42 AM

A nice stream lined tutorial on how to implement a fairly accurate targeting system that I came up with awhile ago, I made this since I reached 55,000 views on youtube, with over 150 subscribers. There will hopefully be a second part to it. Enjoy.

 sfunk 01-07-2015 07:54 PM

Updated the list. I added a link to my new youtube video on how to make a platformer game.

When converting an object to Alice... mine dont seem to be loading textures... is there a reason for this?

 x2495iiii 05-06-2015 04:47 AM

Textures aren't a part of the model by default. They have to manually applied. This can be done by importing the image, then changing the object's properties to have the imported image as the texture.

 Funnybone 05-06-2015 09:35 PM

I assume this took you an hour to write?

 RavenOfCode 05-07-2015 05:25 AM

And how do you change the properties?

As I cant just apply any old texture to a person...
