Actually, I'm working on a patch. Just add it on your world, and it'll save all the necessary files to your Alice installation! I'm also hoping to have it read files from the internet, so I can add updates to it without people having to update worlds!
Will that help to decrease lag during world running?
Those with mouths bigger than their brains are theorizing that we can make complex online games, when all of the modules for online interaction are missing! Sheesh! The only way to make it work is if there was an Alice patch.

O, I didnt notice I run 4 gigs of ram and use a program called prio that makes alice high priority for memory.

tango217 03-25-2010 03:33 PM

ya it tends to lag a bit, but its still fun :)

Yeah, do you mean the program or the padle?

tango217 04-15-2010 03:26 PM
Yeah, do you mean the program or the padle?
Well the program I guess. This is because the ball is told "bounce" off the paddle or the wall when it hits the wall/the distance between the ball and the wall = 0. But for some reason alice sends this method late or doesnt track the distances correctly which causes a fraction of a second delay between the ball hitting and then "bouncing". This causes the ball to "sponge" into the wall or paddle a bit. Techniquely the program should be running perfectly with the given methods and conditions, but the alice engine is a tad slow. Tear drop. But like I said, the game is still fun.
