Weapon Collection

Alice world with a compilation of weapons I've converted. Sorry for holding this off for so long.

All of them, except for maybe 2 or 3, are high-quality with a good polygonal count (no blocky models). Almost all of them have nice textures as well.

Use them wherever you please.

I probably won't be taking model requests; I've somewhat fallen out of step with Alice.
If you really need something though, I might be able to whip it up on a weekend or holiday.

Comments are welcome. Enjoy!

There's a lot of objects, so there was a rendering issue that accounts for the lack of texture on some models.

That's a bigun.

That wouldn't happen to have that assault rifle a certain jedi wanted awhile ago would it?

lol no. The MA37 can be found in the Halo Release world, so I didn't bother to put it here.
Also, I believe arty converted the same model as well.

The objects in here are mainly modern day guns.

I don't mind at all. As for making your own, it would take a lot of practice and time in a 3D modeling program.

I used the lazy way and just converted 3D objects I found online into a format Alice can use.

This thread has some good information on how to convert: http://www.alice.org/community/showthread.php?t=3411&highlight=convert

For an experienced 3D artist it'd probably take two hours to make a gun that looks like what it should be. It'd take longer, perhaps a day or three, to make one that was as detailed as the original. It'd take about less than a week to make one that was both low poly and as detailed as the original. Normal maps help that process a lot. Owning said gun helps a lot. This is based on work from hobby developers, who tend to put in more time and detail into the things they make as compared to professionals.
