Walking and moving at the same time
Hey guys im messing around making a game and i cannot make this guy walk/move for the life of me. I have a walking motion event and a move forward event, i have to do them sepperatley or else the thing doesnt work =/. Is there anyway i could have it so the walking motion doesnt restart when i hit the up key again it justs continues off from where it was?
|
Post the A2W file and I'll mess around with it until it's done.
|
Here it is. The problem is if im fixing my direction or what ever and want to walk forward again the motion starts all over again no matter where his limbs are at

You just needed to remove the "Begin" and "End" in the walk event. If you put the walk method under "End", it will keep going forever.
I would post the finished world, but I can't find it for some reason. :( And, would you, by chance, tell me how to make an event "While -Insert key here- is pressed" in return? :o Edit: Found it. Here you go, bro. |
click when... then right click it and change too :P
|
didnt u have the problem of him stopping in what ever pose he is in when u let go of the key, then starting all over again when pressed again then he gets all jumbled up
|
Huh? I'll try that again. I thought staying in the same pose was what you wanted, you said you wanted him to pick up where he left off.
Could you give me a more detailed description of what you want? |
Hrm, well i guess just to move so its not... wierd. Like if he stops when i pick up then i press the button again he resumes the walking motion from the beginning, aka he will try moving his legs back even if there already behind him =/

That's funny. It didn't do that for me.
Anyway, I used a reset pose method to fix it. Here you go. Oh, and by the way, thanks for telling me how, it helped a lot. :) |
