Define help.

We've already pretty much answered your question: it CAN be done, it's just difficult and impractical to do with Alice.

If you want someone to help you make the game, though, that's another question entirely.

darn... this is what the the game i was going to make was going to look like... i know its crappy and the collision detection sucks and you cant fire your weapon but there's no point in it now... :(

You can still finish the game, it doesn't have to be multiplayer. You can have maybe one mission that you have to do, or shoot at targets. There has never (to my knowledge) been a game created with Alice that has multiplayer capabilities (I said game, so the Chat doesn't count), and yet there have still been great games created with Alice. Don't give up just because you can't have multiplayer, it can still be fun without multiplayer.

You could set different controls to different keys and make it so that all players share the same keyboard.

Unfortunately, that requires that all players be at your computer.

Alternatively, if you're [I]really[/I] obsessed with getting online multiplayer to work, I suggest you begin learning Jython.
