I don't agree with that. I enjoy programming collision detection. It's part of the "programming experience" in my opinion.

Collision Detection in Alice 3
 
Take a look at the events in Alice 3.... We are adding events for collision detection... Still in preliminary stages of design and implementation, but we would really be interested in your thoughts and experience while you try them out...

See the "initializeEventsListeners" method of the Scene class...

This is probably the single most helpful thing for Alice I have found on the forums, although the Save Tool is also really cool.
