Are you talking about the actual addons beta?, because this is just a preview, it has no updating, it doesn't even have addons, its just samples from them.

There's bound to be bugs in the beta,...

Are you not able to click on 0% opacity objects on Mac?

On Windows you can click on them any opacity unless they the actual is showing variable is false.
