I've got Alice 2.4.2 installed on a lab of intel Macbooks running 10.6.8. I seem to be running into a lot of problems with Alice gettting REAL slow realtively quickly, where it then locks up entirely...

Sat down with the 2.2 and worked for 10-15 minutes on my 1Gb and it eventually began exhibiting the same behavior so it must be the memory leak issues, just delayed.

IS there THAT much in new code that the application size went from 123MB to almost 210MB? Wow!

FYI - to get Alice 2.0 up and running under Linux 64 bit you'll need to replace the .so files located in jogl/lib/linux-586 with 64 bit versions. You can get these from jogl.dev.java.net.
