I'm proud to say that I learnt Java through Alice. First I learnt to use Alice and went with just that for a while, then I got into the Python side of Alice and subsequently the Jython side of Alice for ages, which meant that when it came down to learning Java, I was almost instantaneously able to write in it. Although I had never written in Java, or an object orientated language, before, I had been working with the API and translating Java to Jython for so long that it was basic (and Eclipse really helped too).

My next step after I finish my first project (ArtyOnline) would be to learn to make games with it.

I have mostly moved on from Alice, but may still respond to messages if important [-]
