I'm working on a similar problem with AI. To make a AI random walk, create infinite loop that waits any amount, turns random degrees, walks 5 meters etc. As to attack you, say if player is with 10 meters of enemy, enemy turn toward player then start shooting. I haven't tried that yet, since i'm still in the setup of my game, so i'm curious how well that would work.
