I'm learning Visual Basic, its really useful for creating forms with multiple input boxes, drop-down menus, bubble choices, etc. You can't really make games with it, but its great for the type of programming that I like. Next year I will probably take C++ and Video Game Development.

I looked at the game, beachbum, but I don't think that I can help you with it. I don't know how you programmed your game, it is not very organized, no notes saying what does what, and it is pretty poorly programmed all around. I am not going to spend an hour trying to figure out what is happening just to fix your gravity method, I'm sorry. I like it when programs are organized, simple, and when most of the methods are in the world method tab and not dispersed into many object's method tabs (I have learned since my tic-tac-toe game it is not good to do that because it is very hard to find the methods you want to edit when they are all in different objects).

You created your program so you know it more than I, but you should just edit the beginning to be a helicopter-jumping scene, but only as an animation. You shouldn't let the player actually control the person until the animation has ended. This means that the beginning is an animation, therefore there will be no need for ground collision detection. Just have the entire beginning animation in a method called world.intro, and put all the animations in there. Then when the intro is done, the player can control the person.

My gravity method is: "When world starts player move down at speed of 5 meters per second, duration infinity seconds". And i wan't the ground to push the knight up. In the events the gun shooting is there and theres something wrong with the gun method that i want fixed.
