You don't need dummy objects to do it though. He could just as easily use a object that is set point of view to to football, with its opacity set to zero. which gives him another option rather than using dummy objects if he is having a hard time using them. there are always more than one way to do anything in Alice. its just whatever the user prefers
But you are 100% correct about using a stand in object making it more precise
