Question File or I/O access - 05-04-2011, 12:23 AM

Is there a way that I can read from a file so that I can change animations based on what's written to file. Or even better if I can read from USB, serial, com, or Blue-tooth. I want to essentially change animation based on some external input (not through mouse or keyboard)

Thanks
- Dilum

I believe this is possible, you would have to ask arty fishl though, because i think they already talked about this before in an older post, so check around.

If you are stuck on a project, check out the tutorials I made here at this link:

There are lots of tutorials on it so far, including some youtube videos, check it out

Or..

Go to my youtube channel to check out my alice 2.2 tutorials I have there..

It involves scripting activation, and prior knowledge of Python and/or Java scripting including the IO and UTIL libraries, and how to pass the information to Alice variables.

Of course, almost anything is possible given proper access to the New Belgium Facility
