Default knowing the size of an object? - 03-05-2011, 08:23 PM

okay, this is probably a newbie question to ask, but how can you figure out what the size of an object is on alice? i have cubes im using to make a health bar, and i cant get it to work since the size of the cubes are unknown to me, so all the increments i have the cubes move to make the healthbar work are all guess and check, is there a better way?

Well, you never really know. Because it doesnt tell you exactly. It is valued 1 in the editor and can be resized from the resize method/function. Thats about it

okay, well i have been trying to use the objects orientation to give me an approximation of the objects size, but this number seems to be slightly off at times

Wrong jedi. You can know exactly what the size is.

Also, you can set the size to whatever you want as well.

Examples and explanations below.

I know that, thats why I said "Valued", but there is no really real way to know the size other than that, like size = 1
