Default SCI-FI Shooter Beta - 03-10-2011, 07:52 PM

I made this Sci-Fi shooter beta with a new gun system I invented a little while back for my Unity 3d shooter which is good graphics and should be released in the future. I decided to see if I could impleament the system in Alice and it worked but its not perfect like in Unity. Enjoy guys and girls!

W,S,A and D to move
LMB to fire
R to reload

Version 2.0
I updated the system and the gun glitch is fixed, so is the infinite smoke. The shooting is better, and the gun no longer goes in the camera. The smooth following and aiming is better, and if the gun turns to much, its quickly alligns itself back again. Its so cool!

Version 3.0
New crossair animations
Melee system. Press Z to use the attack. The gun was a bit changed. Now there is reloading sounds!

It looks like it could be good, but ...
  • The walking controls only work if I turn my keyboard 90 degrees clockwise. WASD?? ASDW, more like.
  • The gun sometimes covers the whole camera, obstructing the view and showing the inside of the gun.
  • The shooting sometimes glitches up and rapid fires randomly without stopping.
  • The reloading sometimes glitches up and repeatedly reloads without stopping.

Yah um. That was extra just to see if the concept would work for an official shooter, the walking can be fixed by setting the camera in the position of the dummy "Start Position"

I cannot wait to try to play this game, I am on my sister's laptop so i have to wait until i can get on my computer to try it out!

It is just a beta, dont get your expections to high. I will post a screen shot now. Just because its another project I made that doesn't have a screen shot

Wouldn't this technically be considered the alpha stage? (just wondering about that) and this is a very amazing method on moving the character and to aim.

No problem. and Man! i wish i could work with alice like you do! this was something i was trying to implement in the game im working at the begining but had no idea how to do anything close to what you did!

Well to tell you the truth. I dont even know how I did it. I just come up with this stuff in my head and draw the entire thing out in my head. I didnt know alice could do this. I tried it before, but before I solved the solution in my head. BANG! It happened and the randomness time. I cant even remember when..lol. Yah, I am thinking about making this into a full FPS system.
