I couldn't send a reply. Your inbox was full.

For some reason, I can't access the objects' subparts.

zero, the objects subparts won't show up, but if you double click the subpart on the scene, you will be able to access it.

I can access the subpart's properties, I just can't use them in the code, though.

What do you mean? of course you can.

Double click on the subpart then it selects it and changes the properties, methods, functions tabs to those of the subpart. Just drag in. You cant access it in drop down menus, but you can still drag in its functions, properties and methods.

If you mean you cant create a new local variable, method or function on those subparts, of course you cant - its a subpart - check any subpart of anything and you will see that you cant do that.

What I mean is that the drop-down menu isn't showing up next to the object
The appleTree has a menu, but not the squares

I know, that's what we've been saying for ages on this thread and also in replies to you just there - that's a glitch I cant seem to find a fix for.

Its called gloo because that is both a cool and relevant name, and if you glue something it becomes one object really - without the subparts, but you can still do some things to the parts you glued to it.

My aim would be to fully fix this, but for now there are easy workarounds that you can do and lazy workarounds that I have directly incorporated into the Gloo addon menu (but I'm not releasing Addons yet). You dont need to access that right-click menu, just have a method that runs at world startup that positions and resizes etc the parts; this is easily achievable since when you double click on a subpart (in the preview window, not the object tree) you can access its properties, methods and functions to drag in.

Talking Great news!!! - 11-12-2011, 02:37 PM

I've got fantastic news...

I have fixed the glitch where Glooed objects would disappear from the object tree!!!

It turns out that each object has a parts array variable and the world has a sandbox array variable that I just need to add and remove objects to and from. It works perfectly. Yay .

So anything I've Glooed already for anybody - if you want it re-Glooed just ask.
