That was the first techique I tried using when you showed me your 'integer only' fix earlier. I tried setting a global to the rounded number and then using it as min and max in the random function. Did not work for me, but I am using Alice 2.2.

Actually, thanks it did end up working. Not sure why it did not work when I tried earlier, but if you randomize the global with a min and max set to the globals current value it does work.

By the way is there any way to add functionality to the Alice engine by writing Python scripts? I would imagine you would need the source code for the Alice IDE to do so.

I'll have to download the source and look at it one day when I have time.
