Default Shooting? - 06-04-2010, 07:31 AM

I've been making a shooting game i got the reloading shooting clips everything done even have the bullet fire. But my bullet will kill nothing i have it like this [if bullet is within x meters of trex] the a [if true i have a animation that makes it die.] But when i shoot nothing happens the only time i make it works if like if the bullet is within 100 meters of the thing. 50 meters ok 40 not ok i dont know why. My game isnt suppose to be a one hit game so.

your collision method is probably too slow,the bullet probably passes through the enemy between the times its checking for collision detection, maybe try to slow down your bullet a tiny bit, and make sure your detection method checks every 0.01 seconds or something...

post your world if this doesn't work.

It measures from the center of the Trex. Alice is made to read collisions like that; thats why we are making all these different collision programs. sMake it seperate like is with head, and then body, then part 5 of the tail or something
