Default Can't Save! Help Please! - 03-02-2012, 08:15 PM

I get this error when trying to save!

Code:
An error has occurred while attempting to save your world.
This is a critical situation that needs to be dealt with immediately.

NOTE: Please check for a directory co-located with
your world named "Backups of <YourWorldNameHere>" which
should contain previously saved versions of your world.

We at the Alice Team apologize for any work you have lost

Please accept our sincerest apologies. The Alice Team.

See if the error continues.

It must be there somewhere, otherwise it wouldn't be referenced in your error message.

Read through your list of items slowly, and be sure to check inside all the folders.

Yep. Checked every last one of them, 3 times. Not in there at all.

Then that's the problem.

It looks like the world is trying to reference an item that isn't there.

You can try adding another few fireAnimations, but unfortunately the world is probably going to end up corrupt.

This is why Alice has you save backups every 15 minutes.

Normally if you can't find an object that alice says you have, it's usually caused by adding an object to the world, then hitting undo causing the object to delete, then leaving it's trace file(or whatever it's called) in alice, confusing it. I have had this happen a couple of times, and not much that I could do about it besides restart from a previous save

If you are stuck on a project, check out the tutorials I made here at this link:
