I'm going to keep this simple so you can down them and correct with ease.

Problems:
When exporting to a web page:
- Fog does not appear.
- Opaqueness is not visible (everything no matter if it be between 0%-99.9% opaque is assumed to be 100% visible).
- As was mentioned somewhere else in the forum the 3D text appears oddly spaced and too far to the right.

Suggestions:
- A export to stand-alone program would be great. This would eliminate the problem most people have when viewing where they do not have either Java or Java3D. The creator then could have various options like if the user could control the speed, restart, stop, the size, etc. .
- Regular text option rather than having to make a textile (banner) out of the text?

So far this program runs very well and is a great introductory tool for people wanting to become a 3D scripting something or other. Thanks to the Alice team for creating it!

Seems like exactly what we need. Isn't that what the "export as movie" feature is supposed to do after all? If so I'm sure this was all already thought of and is just an incomplete feature.

Export movie, when it was enabled, created an avi.

Basically, it was a screen capture tool built into Alice. You'd start recording, you'd play your world and if there was any interactivity, you'd go through it. When it was through, you'd stop recording. Alice would save out an avi of the capture for you to play in your favorite media player. At some point in the somewhat recent past, it broke. There have been some recommendations for other screen capture utilities to use in conjunction with Alice if you want to make movies.

Ah, I see. Yes, that would be very inconveniant for those who had an interactive environment. Well what you have in mind for the small utility to play the items is a great idea too. My project is more of a game then anything that I wish to show to others.

Exporting to a movie file would be conveniant only for those who created a theatrical set of some sort. If they could create a stand-alone program though it would be good for both someone who creates something you can only watch and the other people who create something interactive.
