Default How To Import Objects with sketchup(No Blender Involved) - 05-11-2010, 10:23 PM

This tut asumes you have .ase export plugins installed. To get these plugins download them from http://www.vodhin.org/e107/download.php?view.1025 Then unzip the folder and put all the files in the plugins folder of the sketchup directory.
The first step is to make the model. Next you seperate the model into groups by material/texture. Next you need to give each group it's own layer.(To do this you need to have the layers toolbox open, It is also assumed you know how to asign layers to entities and make your own layers). After that export it via the .ase export plugin under the plugin dropdown. Then open with alice and texture acordingly.
