Default Changing scenes? - 04-11-2009, 03:56 AM

Hi.

I have to do a project for my Alice class. I'm trying to figure out what to do for it. Originally I wanted to do a side scroller (Mario style) but I have come to the conclusion that it is too hard to create within the time frame I have (about a week and a half) especially considering i'm not that good with Alice.

I've decided that i'll most likely try to re create the Monty Python sketch 'How not to be seen' - seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifmRg...eature=related. I'm thinking i'll import the audio from that video and go from there. I'll chop up the audio so it's in 'scenes'.

What I want to do is to change scenes like in that video. For example, going from a scene where there is a grass texture to a scene where there is a beach texture by clicking a button or something. I'm not too sure how to do it. Could anyone help?

one option would probably be to set up little "stages****" in the world, and then place dummy objects for each stage. animate each little area then send the camera to the next scene's stage

****What i mean by stages is like put buildings on the left side of the screen, and like trees on the right so that you only see the trees, not the buildings, as if they were in different worlds.
