Thats normal, its Alice it cant take that much moving stuff before it crashes.


Stuff + Other Stuff + Different Other Stuff = Things :)

It stinks; I have a decently powerful computer, so you'd think that lag wouldn't be a problem. Oh well.

I have a good new (like 1 month old) PC, and it still lags with that same problem...

Ok, so the game will probably take a few weeks to make. I've got the passing mechanics down (and defense to a point), but implementing them with EVERY SINGLE FREAKING PLAYER (if you can't tell, it gets monotonous) takes a very long time.

Oh, and I'm posting about the game so I stay motivated to keep working on it. If I don't, then there's a good chance that I'll lose interest. Back to work.......

I would suggest if you make a player add the mecanics then you can just copy the player with the copy button and he will have the same mechanics.

Well me in my infinite wisdom already has made all of the players in the game, so your awesome copy technique can't be used. I can copy the Methods and stuff, and then paste them onto each player, so it's still not as bad as it could be.

I still have to modify the passing mechanics for each player once pasted though. Iniesta is going to pass differently than Cristiano Ronaldo.

PS: I'll get around to playing your game soon.

Ideally, you'd make that a large flat texture with minimal detail and two frames of animation.

Saves on polygon count and doesn't move.

Unless the camera moves in such a way that the stands aren't always facing it. In that case, you'd need a flat texture for every crowd member, programmed to always face the camera. This is the technique most mid to low spec 3d games use to render crowds.

Your technique is a great idea to avoid both the facing the camera problem and the turning to face the camera problem, though.

So I figured out a more efficient way to program passing. I'm almost finished with Barcelona, and it only took 45ish minutes. That's good. The bad thing is that I wasted at least 8 hours to do 40% of it, using the old method. Facepalms
