Default Disabling/Enabling events. - 07-28-2009, 01:28 PM

Is there a way to disable and enable events in Alice 2.2 while this world runs. You know where a command says to enable or disable the event. Idk unless anybody has a different way of thinking. Cuz I wanna have a cinematic of an airplane taking off then enable the user to control the jet with the event saying when key is pressed it turns in this direction. Any suggestions?

You could do the airplane thing by declaring a boolean variable called "controlstart" which is set to false, then making some events like this

While Left Arrow is pressed
Begin: (Do nothing)
During: TurnLeft
End: (Do nothing)

for all four directions

Then making methods for each event, like this

If controlstart is true
airplane turn left .01 revolutions, duration 0 seconds

for all four directions

And finally, setting controlstart to true at the end of the cinematic.

I can't post a world as an example at the moment, but maybe Veryuhbull can.
