No. Not at all. That technology is way beyond what Alice can do. If you don't think you can learn Blender or 3dsmax, go for Sketchup, since it's the simplest and it's free. But you need a 3d software other than Alice to convert a model.

Default Help importing - 11-18-2010, 01:35 AM

Ok so I'm really new to this and there may be a simple answer somewhere in here but I'll ask anyway... I selected a model off google, put it through blender and converted it to .ase but when I import it into alice it just shows up as a cube. how do i fix this?

Hey X. Please help out. Im trying to convert an object from Sketchup to Alice. In Blender, when I click the import, it says "Please install the full version of Jython" What do I do? How to i get the full version???

X says: Well you got me. Blender doesn't use Jython, it uses Python. Either you have a mutant, broken copy of Blender, or you didn't download Python as the Blender download page instructed. If that's the case then you download it here.

Never mind that, I found a way around by downloading blender onto my other 8 year old laptop. Now my issue is that i downloaded python, but blender doesn't recognise that it's there
