Alice 2.2 beta on laptop

Just a bug report:

Alice 2.2beta produces flashing panels on my Thinkpad T60p. Runs fine on my desktop machine though. Laptop display issues could be a problem because that's what the student's use.

I'm content to stick with 2.0 for a while longer

same problem on Sony VAIO running VISTA.
