Please, to be honest a high post count means nothing. What counts is post qaulity.

Somebody should invent some sort of scale that determines how valuable a post is. Perhaps if I have some time, I will create one.

Hmm. Sounds good. The lowest level should be troll and the highest should be moderator worthy.

I think a thumbs up/down for comments would be nice.

As for creating a whole scale, that is just unnecessary and pointless.
Besides, it's not an accurate "measurement."

I guess you are right. It would cause the number of random, stupid, worthless, unimportant posts to increase.

Well any user could write code for it in notepad or whatever code-writing program and then copy and paste the code into a PM message that can be sent to a moderator/admin which the moderator/admin could then use to change the source code.
