Default Trouble with Alice running on my computer - 06-26-2012, 05:49 PM

I am just learning how to use Alice and have downloaded it to my computer (Windows 7) and it doesn't respond to what I want it to do. I can open and close the program, I can go to Tools and I have run the Tutorial with no problem, but when I want to view say, "Recent Worlds", when I click on the tab for it, nothing happens. I went to File and "Open" and nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? I am taking a BCIS class and I am behind because I cannot get this to work correctly.

If you haven't created a World, you don't have any Recent Worlds. Click on the Edit/Preferences, make sure that you set the folder to your preferred destination, and make a World.

The "file/open" should present you with the standard options pane, but you don't have anything yet. You might try "file/new", select a template, and go from there. the first time you save, it will put it where you decided it should go.
