Rubiks Cube for Alice

Hello Alice Community

I was wondering...perhaps it is possible to make a rubiks cube with Alice? Is this possible? Because I think all you would need is to create a bunch of squares (probably a 4x4 rubiks cube) and then somehow using a variable to keep the squares from being pulled off. Then of course in the beginning it would be made, just ask the user if they want it to be scrambled and then if they click yes, the squares will jumble up. I am not sure how this will all work, I have a very vague idea, but any help would be awesome! This will be a very interesting project.

I would think it is possible. All you would have to do is put the cubes in the shape of a bigger cube. And then, by giving commands, set their vehicles to some dummy object(s), and rotate the dummy objects accordingly. I might post a world to give an example.

well if you are going to have the cube start off solved then "jumbled up", you could easily use one of the many algorithms that are used to solve a rubiks cube to mess the cube up. this would give you an actual chance to solve the cube rather than just randomly move individual cubes around and screw up the algorithms.
