Default Collision problem/ice skater - 12-31-2011, 03:14 AM

I think the problem I'm having is that I need to insert some sort of collision detection to keep the skater from skating through the ice. I didn't have any problems when programmig the individual components, but when working as a class-level method, they don't seem to work. The skater always seems to wind up going through the ice. Any suggestions on where/how to put the collision detection in would be appreciated. Is that even the problem?

I've seen this before when building poses for a character. The basic problem is that your skater is no longer properly oriented with respect to the World. To fix it just right-click on the skater, select method, orientTo the Entire World before you start. You may also have to turn her back around a half-turn to make her face the correct direction before starting.
