I'm trying to import a .dae object into Blender. I have all of the necessary scripts. It asks me to install Python. I have Python 2.7.1 installed. Any suggestions?

Install python 2.6.1. It doesn't recognize some of the later versions of python.

EDIT: including an import/export already integrated into the program
