No, it doesn't

. It claims there are only 18 days to go, which would take it up to November 25. I don't think you've factored months into this.

yeahh i think it only works for chritmass of 2011, and i cant really fix it because ever since i started java, i've forgotten everything about alice ):

It works for the 25th of every month.

Awesome, you started Java, you should check out mine and drellem's ArtyOnline project - its networked multiplayer for Alice - written in Java. It's not quite finished, because I'm doing a tonne of web based stuff for it right now, but it'll be interesting to see what people make with it when it is done.

so far, all i know in java is how to make spirals and stick figure using turtle.java, what you're doing is a different language probably to me

I've never heard of turtle.java, so yeh - probably completely different. I kind of jumped right in at the deep end, its really easy
to code Java after working with Jython and reading Java for so long.

You can make countdown work for any time of the year if you change first line of instructions.

change from:
world.days set value to (25-day of month) duration=0 seconds
change to:
world.days set value to (359-day of year) duration=0 seconds
(If you do 365 it includes the 6 days after Christmas, so it won't calculate correctly.)

As long as you view the countdown between Jan 1 and Dec 25 it should work out great!
