Default Camer Movement - 09-25-2010, 10:38 AM

Is there a way to move the camera within Alice to be more like a slideshow?

By that I mean I've dropped dummy cameras where I want the camera to focus, (i.e. badGuyEyes, sherrifEyes, sherrifGun, etc.)

What I'm getting now is motion sickness because the camera does not turn off during movement.

I would like camera to remain on eyes 2 seconds, abruptly move to another target 2 seconds, etc.

I see different options on the fly-out menu but they are not covered in the Alice textbook. (i.e. affectPosition, affectQuaternion, followHermiteCube)

I don't know exactly how you have it set up but you can add a 2 sec wait to your methods located in the bottom Right near all the stuff like "do in order", "Do together", ext. just drag and drop into your methods and set to 2 seconds. Let me know if that helped.

SirThorfinn, Thank you for the idea. I messed around with it more and set the camera point of view duration to "0 seconds" then the camera changes positions much like a slide show.

Yeah I was about to tell you to set the duration to 0 seconds, you got it right. 0 second duration is very useful in many parts of Alice (just don't use it for the speed of bullets).
