Sounds Help

I am trying to have music play in the background and when I use the play sound function I get an error. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Some sounds just won't play in alice. It doesn't seem to relate to file type, though, because even for .wav files, some work and some don't. Try using different music.

Maybe this is just me.

I was wondering does the length of music affect it too?

I don't think so, but it does increase the filesize.

What tends to work is importing the sound into Audacity and then exporting as a WAV. Audacity does a nice job of it, it works for mp3s or wav files that won't play in Alice.

where does this file download to? when i click on it, it just opens up windows media player

I fixed it, you can click it now. Sorry about that.

In such a case, the standard thing to do would be to right click on the link and choose "Save link as..." or "Save target as...", just some heads up if that ever happens again.

Ok, so now that the sound is in the alice program, it does not want to save. It says that it is saying but after a half hour or so I just give up. Does anyone have any suggestions?
