Default Portal in Alice - 08-24-2010, 04:57 PM

I'm currently working on an Alice version of Portal. The engine is mostly done and all that's needed is a working collision detector for the portals, then I can start on the environment and story.

WASD to move
Click and drag to orient camera
Space to fire portals

Wow...this is cool! One minor improvement I would suggest is to change the movement methods' "style" to "abruptly". It doesn't seem like much but it can go a long way.

Like this? Only works for the wall you're looking at, though.

Maybe someone could convert and upload this for you: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehou...7e&prevstart=0

It might help with the game to make it look better.

Thanks x2495iii, but I'm having trouble getting it out of the wall when It gets stuck, and if I do manage to get it out, it doesn't travel straight. This is the problem I'm having with my current collision detector. If you can find a way to fix it, that would be great.
