Now here is something I have been wanting to do for a long time: Realistic juggling in Alice. Enjoy.

A strong second to that. As Dick mentioned elsewhere - there is nothing like a good code example to really show what programming is all about.

Thank you guys. I learned programming myself by looking at other peoples code and taking the ideas and principles I liked.

A source of inspiration was "101 BASIC Computer Games" by David H. Ahl, which is meanwhile available on the net (http://www.atariarchives.org/basicgames/) as I recently discovered. I think it is essential for beginners and young people to have small projects like those in Ahl's book which are fun to do but which are not to complicated or involved to be finished.

Ahl's book does hold up well for being thirty years old.

One interesting project for an Alice class would be to compare his version of "Towers of Hanoi" (listed just as "Towers") with the recursive version common in various texts.

Note his second book is also available at
http://www.atariarchives.org/morebasicgames/ .

In it, try "Hunt the Wumpus" - an all time favorite.

That was some great coding and it was presented perfectly. You are one of the lucky few that understands this program

Keep up the good work.
