Continue on I376 East through
Fort Pitt Tunnel
Stay in right lane as you
cross Fort Pitt Bridge and bear right at exit marked 376E Monroeville
Follow 376E exit 5 Forbes
Ave/Oakland
Continue on Forbes Ave 1.4
miles to Forbes Ave/Morewood
The driveway to the Parking

from Charlottesville:
Take I-64 West to
I-81, head North on I-81
Take I-81 to I-70, take
I-70 West
Take I-70 to Breezewood/Gateway
Exit
Pick Up I-76 (Pennsylvania
Turnpike) and head West (Note: When you're about to get on the turnpike,
go through one of the RIGHT HAND lanes of tollbooths. Immediately after
the tollbooth take the RIGHT HAND ramp going West).
Take the I-76 (Turnpike)
West to Exit 6 - Pittsburgh. Pay the toll ($4.40) and take 376 West to
Pittsburgh (its a weird ramp so be alert).
To Carnegie Mellon
- Newell Simon Hall:
Take 376 west from the Turnpike
Go through Squirrel Hill
Tunnels - go to the Oakland Exit (1 exit beyond Squirrel Hill)
The ramp will dump you on
a two lane road after a stop sign merge ramp.
Go up the hill and straight
through the light until the street dead ends
Make a left and take this
street until it hits Forbes Avenue (a three lane one-way street).
Make a right onto Forbes
You will pass the Cathedral
of Learning on your left. At this point, get in one
of the two right hand lanes ASAP or you'll crash headlong into oncoming
traffic.
After the second light beyond
the Cathedral of Learning (this second light is Craig Street) you will
go across a bridge.
Immediately after the bridge
turn Right into a parking lot. Careful, entrance from Forbes Ave. is a
bit abrupt, so take it slow. There are now two possibilities:
If it is before 4pm on a weekday, find a meter in this parking
lot and park. Newell Simon Hall is the building to the right after the
stairs/walkway and stop sign. The Stage 3 lab is one floor down from
the main entrance floor (which is floor 3 and the one Randy is on).
OR
if it is after 4pm, or a weekend park anywhere in this lot or go a bit further and park in the next lot. Newell Simon Hall is the building to the right after the stairs/walkway and stop sign. The Stage 3 lab is one floor down from main entrance floor (which is floor 3 and the one Randy is on).
To the Holiday Inn
- Oakland:
Follow Directions to Oakland
exit listed above
Once you make a right onto
Forbes and pass the Cathedral of Learning on your left. STAY IN THE LEFT
HAND LANE and make a Left onto South Bellfield Ave. Again, stay in the
Left Lane - at the stop light, make a left onto Fifth Avenue. Get into
the Right Hand Lane - Pass Ruskin Ave. You can make a left onto Tennyson
or continue on and make a left onto Lytoon Ave. Either one will take you
to parking for the Holiday Inn.
