The Alice-Users Mailing List

The Alice Users mailing list is intended to be a forum for discussion of anything and everything related to Alice. The address for the Alice Users mailing list is: alice-users@cs.cmu.edu

To become part of the Alice user community send mail to alice-admin@cs.cmu.edu and be sure to supply your correct e-mail address and name.

Asking Questions

If you have a question about Alice that isn't covered in our list of Frequently Asked Questions, you may be able to get the answer from the Alice-Users Mailing List. If you have a technical problem with the Alice program, we encourage you to send email to report it to us, described below.

Reporting Bugs

Before you send in a bug, you might want to check our known bugs list to make sure it's not been reported.
To report bugs, send mail to alice99-bugs@cs.cmu.edu. Please include the following information:

  • A short description of the behavior you expected and a description of the behavior you got.
  • Which version of Alice you are using (use Alice's About tool if you're not sure)
  • The smallest possible example world or script that demonstrates your bug
  • If you can, we would appreciate it if you sent us the file called Errors.txt in your Alice directory. It sometimes contains information that is useful in solving a problem.
