I myself am "invited to begin" but I think it is a Java language, and I don't know if it requires downloading cause there's a simple way to enable Jython scripting in Alice (I think).
1: Go to C:\Documents and Settings\(insert username here)\.alice.
2: Find the file "AlicePreferences.xml" and edit it.
3: Find where it says "enableScripting". After the "enableScripting" you should see "false". Change "false" to "true".
4: Save the xml file, then open Alice.
Assuming you did everything right:
*There should be a text bar above the viewig pane.
*Next to the "print" and "wait" lines, there should also be "script" and "Script-defined response".
*When you right click on the World object, there should be an option saying "script...".
