Best Animation Unofficial Contest Hosted By David B.
 

Hello Everyone! I decided that I want to run my own Alice Contest. You are probably wondering what the rules are, and what the topic is, but there is no specific topic. That is what makes this contest so unique! Feel free to post any worlds that you have already posted in another thread on the forums as well, or you can create a new world and post it here. I may make recommendations on different threads that are discussing a world, so don't be suprised if you see something about this competition in another thread. Any topic is welcome. Feel free to submit videos or games.

These are the minimum requirements for the contest:
1.) You must identify your program with a name that appropriatly fits it. I also recommend a little description of the game.
2.) The program must be free of any errors that may occur. I will be reviewing each world, and if it doesn't play, I can't judge it.
3.) It is impossible to be disqualified from this contest. The contest, although I haven't totally decided yet, will probably be based on process of elimination, which means that voting will take place more than once.
4.) Since I am the judge, it is only fair that I am not allowed to participate.

Anything you enter is fine with me. Games are allowed. Actually, if you enter a game, you have a higher chance of winning than you do if you enter just a movie. I am thinking about having a game winner and a movie winner, but at this point, I am undecided.

I am nearing the end of my programming course, and we are doing a game as a final project. I should have that complete in a couple weeks.:)

Sounds good. I am still undecided, but I am thinking that I will make the deadline for submissions February 26.

You have just looked at a list of posts I made encouraging people to enter. Since these posts are cluttering this thread, I am going to now delete them. Although I am deleting them, I still encourage more people to join, and I am not guranteeing that I am not going to make any more of these super annoying posts. Please enter something that you have made. I believe it is obvious now that anything is accepted. Yes, I admit that I am inpatient, and that these posts are annoying, but being who I am, I feel as if nobody would enter if I didn't make them.

What kind of "dark stage" are you talking about? I don't know what that means. As for waiting a few weeks, in a few weeks, unless I suspend it (probably won't happen), the contest will be over in a few weeks.

I mean not many people are on the alice community at this time. A lot of the highest users are busy and your posted your thread just at the wrong time and everyone missed it

In that case, I will run this contest again when the time is right, but the deadline will stay 2/26/11.

I am trying to avoid how much I advertising I do, so I just made it a part of my signature. (READ SIGNATURE FOR MORE DETAILS) I added it to my signature about a week ago, and since then, my submission count has gone up. Plus, it is more convinent for me because it is automatically added to each post I make.

Hmm...Funny, I didnt see the signature. I dont read any signatures really, except the ones that catch my eye, no offense. Arty was the one with the tank right?

I also forgot to mention this, but I don't go to some random thread and write, "Hey, come join my contest!" I only place an ad in threads where it would be reasonable to do so.

I was playing with Alice 3 but its quite difficult and I keep on coming back to it but it will take months not days.
