Where do the sounds come from?

I'm curious as to where the Alice team gets their sounds for the sound libraries, as well as the sounds for objects in the object gallery. I'm especially curious about things like Mana's (from Alice 2 gallery) sniffle, which would be pretty specific for an object's sound.
