How to make an object as a subpart of another object in Alice 2?

I want to join a few objects to be a subobject of another so that I can make changes of multiple objects (which are all joined together in the world, so it basically looks like one object) with ease instead of clicking on each object and have to move them individually around or edit thier properties.
In the picture, the part circled in blue is what I'm trying to do (as you can see, I know that I can duplicate a subpart of an object and that subpart will exist under the duplicated object's subparts, and that's what rotor 3 is, a duplicated subpart). The part circled in red is the 3 objects I want to be combined as an object with, in this case, 3 subparts (the crate, the sphere, and the lighting pole). And the part circled in black are those 3 parts I want combined. As you can see, I tried to see if i could achieve my goal by placing all 3 objects in a group, but to no avail.
So I'm wondering in all of this, would this be possible?

Thanks for any help everyone!
By the way, I am running on Alice 2.2 via PC

objects as subparts of other objects
Try to use the vehicle property of the sub-object, making its vehicle the object you wish to join it to...

The groups in the object tree are an organizational convenience only, helping to make the object tree more manageable... They do not have any functionality of their own...

Vehicles are important.

Good advice from Don-

If you set the vehicle structure correctly, you can make things happen that aren't possible with individual objects.

Yes, the vehicle would work for what you are asking, but I also was wondering if there was maybe a way to do that so that you could also save the object with it's subparts. If you right-click and then select "save object" I was wondering if there is a way to save it with the sub-vehicles. I tried making my own custom objects with the "shapes" objects, but they won't save with it.

They are discrete objects tied together only by editing the scenes, or linking them to each other with programming logic. This doesn't make them Alice models.

Try: using info at
and come back to share only "AFTER" you finish your first model.

Yeah, I already saw that and I don't have any of the tools it wants... :( I guess I'll stick to helping people on the forums and making Alice programs! :o

Whattabout you?
Have you had any experience in modeling, and if yes, what programs do you use?

Previously mentioned
I have used the stuff in

BUT, I'm not really much of an Artist. I leave that to my kids.:(

Yup, same here, only I don't have any kids, I'm only 15. ;) I am trying to figure out how blender works and maybe get some Legend of Zelda stuff ready, but that's slow going with all my college work and housework, plus any other hobbies I have. :(
