Unity Fantasy Game

I am planning on making a unity game, and I was wondering if anyone, like Jediaction* (hint, hint), has any input or things I should keep in mind while making it. I am planning on starting a game-making "company" (:p) under the name of Cobalt Studios, and am collecting people to work on the game with me. I think I have found a person, but I am not sure. So, does anyone have any tips?:D

* I saw your game play-throughs, you did a pretty good job making the games. The only downside was the character designs.

Hi, if you are just starting, my advice is to start small. I usually work alone in my games, because working together with another partner and neither of us getting paid, that slows down really quick and the project ends up failing. I started small, and now I'm at the point where I am developing games like Elite Force. Try creating a simple game, not something that is unique, but fun. Get the core game-play down. If you want to start with something creative, learn the coding first. I wouldn't recommend networking to start because that is very complicated if you are not an experienced coder. In summary:

1) Start small - simple and fun
2) Design first, then build (I've made that mistake too many times)
3) Don't compare your games to others. Do your best, not someone elses best.

With the right attitude and motivation, you can make a great game. You may hit writers block where you run out of ideas, but don't stop. Just take a break, go do something relaxing, bring a note pad with you, and the ideas will come to you. Just be there ready to write them down.

I hope this information helps. Good luck with your game!

In which game?

Elite Squad.

The only human models are the hands, and the base mesh was made so long ago I can't really remember. It was modified for this game though off of that model from many years ago.

Well, you don't see it.

You could see it in reflections and shadows. And besides, how are you supposed to see your feet if they're not there?
