Right click the object you want to split, press...

Right click the object you want to split, press tab, deselect all, press b twice, then drag your mouse over each vertex you want to be included in the piece to be cut off. Press space when done...

Is there any way to delete the main portion of an object, like a person's pody, while retaining a subpart of the object, like a hat or shoe? I'm fairly certain there isn't but if anyone else knows a...
