Hi Lucy, your Alice world sounds great!! It sounds like you put a lot of time into it. My Alice world was not so complicated but i had the same problem of using the random number generator to get my character back on to level ground. Although my character didn't sink into to the ground to much it was still annoying watching his feet sink into the ground like quicksand or something. I never quite fixed the problem, but I did notice the faster objects move in Alice the more effect it has on were the object goes, well for my characters at least.
I"m going to see if anyone has found a remedy to this problem.
