Default Disabling local file save - 11-09-2010, 06:09 AM

Hi

Just got Alice 2.2 running on our school network but do not want the option for saving files to the local machine. I would much prefer that this feature was not available or changed so that the default file store location pointed to users network drives. Please would anyone be able to tell me if this is possible and if so how do I go about it?

Thanks

EDIT menu > Preferences - the General tab allows you to select the default folder to save and load movies from. See if this will help.

Thanks for that. Is there an .ini file or similar that I can edit so users are locked down in terms of only being able to save to somewhere I can specify?

You can edit \Required\etc\version.txt

Scroll way down on http://alice.org/index.php?page=down...nload_alice2.2 for more information.
