how do i make a score method im having a lot of trouble cause all it does is go 6.0 then changes to 7.0 then goes back to 6.0 and repeats

That means it's value is being set to 6 somewhere. Look around your world for that and delete it, then replace it with "set value to (variablename) + 6".
