Input please regarding methods -

I'm just starting out with Alice. In reading chapter 2 I felt like the book was encouraging the use of one method per function. "It's far better to write a separate method for each logical behavior, and associate those methods with the appropriate objects.' It seems some of the example worlds also practice this (SnowLove). My professor felt like I overly complicated my world with too many methods and suggested I use them only for repetitive behaviors. I can get behind either train of thought but would appreciate feedback from others on which practice is preferred or if this is simply a preference per programmer.
