Arrays?

I'm trying to put together a program for my final project in which you have a panel of buttons and you have to hit them in the correct order to proceed to another part of the game. My teacher suggested using an array, but I'm confused as to how to go about it. If I could get some help on how to code, this, I'd really appreciate it. There are five buttons and I have the array list set up. I'm just not sure how to code it so it creates a random order you have to click them in each time.
