Angry Help - 12-13-2011, 08:21 AM

Hi I am trying to put Alice on our school network which is RM, and am having a few problems. Please can anyone tell me if there is a network version of this I can install?

Also do I need to install this on each and every indiviual user? if so is there a way around this?

Will it create folders for each user?

Help I am now tearing my hair out 2.2 doesn't seem to have an Desktop Icon and 3 is taking forever to install.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Well I'm sorry I can't be of much help due to my lack of experience. (12 years of life isn't much to go by) I think the most productive way to do it would be for the school have a wireless folder that they could connect to through the network. There you can have each student click on whatever you put in there, or have them just copy the program itself out of the folder.
In short:
1: Place file on network folder
2: Go to each individual computer and open the folder
3: Copy to desktop
Note: make sure it is not a shortcut or else the entire network will be slow trying to open Alice 23ish times.

Alice is a .exe file, which means that it does not need to be installed. All you need to do is save the Alice and Required files to an all access location that can be accessed by anyone on the network, and all they will need to do is open the Alice file, and can save their worlds anywhere.

After that, you can just place a shortcut to the file on the desktop
